Hello Sandi C. I like to use my own recipe. I find that the meatballs from the store are often bland when froze, but I prefer the spices I put in my meatloaf, don't you? You can make up an extra batch the next time you make spaghetti or hoagies and freeze the extra batch. It saves you time and you never have to worry about the hubby not liking the meatballs.

I love meatballs in the crockpot. They taste good and get a great texture to them. I really like the cocktail ones with the chili sauce mixed with cranberry jelly. Can anyone recommend a good tasting frozen meatball though? My husband doesn't like the frozen ones much but I love them because they're easy. I haven't tried turkey meatballs as of yet but that might be a good option. Any decent ones out there?

I think I'll try this using different kinds of barbecue sauces, like hickory smoke and sweet honey and a zesty one too. It would make a great appetizer for upcoming holiday get-togethers. I think I'll split them into two separate slow cookers, and put a different kind of sauce in each.

I've made this recipe many times and used various BBQ sauces ranging from sweet and sour to hot and spicy. It is super easy to make and is a real crowd pleaser. It is suitable as a side at parties and stays warm in the crock pot for hours. It pairs well with a simple rice dish.
