Slow Cooker Drunken Dogs

Make entertaining easy with this recipe for Slow Cooker Drunken Dogs. Whip this dish up before guests come so it'll be ready when they arrive. Tomato soup, bourbon, cider vinegar, and Worcestershire sauce coat the slow cooker hot dogs. Dark brown sugar contrasts the flavor of the vinegar to make the sauce sweeter. If you don't have cocktail frankfurters, chopped hot dogs will do just fine. Be sure to serve your slow cooker appetizer with toothpicks so guests don't have to eat with their fingers.

Slow Cooker Time HIGH: 3 hr

Cooking Vessel Size: 4 to 6-quart slow cooker

Ingredients
  • 3 (1-pound) packages smoked cocktail frankfurters
  • 2 (10-3/4-ounce) soup Campbell's® Condensed Tomato Soup (Regular or Healthy Request®)
  • 1/4 cup packed dark brown sugar
  • 1 cup bourbon
  • 2 tablespoons cider vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
Instructions
  1. Stir the frankfurters, soup, brown sugar, bourbon, vinegar, garlic powder and Worcestershire in a 4 to 6-quart slow cooker.
  2. Cover and cook on HIGH for 2 to 3 hours or until the mixture is hot and bubbling.
