The combination of meaty, spicy, and a little bit sweet is always a winner when entertaining the very important men in your life! Set this out in the man cave next time the guys are over, and you are sure to get compliments as well as recipe requests! I appreciate that this recipe uses fresh meat as opposed to the frozen prepared meatballs, which can be rather unhealthy.

What else can I use besides the apricot preserves in this dish? My daughter is allergic to them very badly, but we can use peach preserves or orange marmalade. I love the honey in this dish along with the jam because it gives the recipe so much sweet, tangy flavor.

Hi SissieSass, peach preserves would work great! - Natalie, Editor of AllFreeSlowCookerRecipes

Honey and apricot preservers are added to Frank's Red Hot Sauce, along with a couple other ingredients, for the honey buffalo glaze/sauce. The meatballs require just a handful of spices along with salt and pepper, and saltine crackers. I would like to dash a few tablespoons of green onions on the top before serving.

Honey and buffalo sounds like a really interesting combination! I'm in charge of appetizers for my family's Christmas party this year... this may be a good appetizer to bring!
