Chicken and rice together has always been one of my very favorite things to cook and eat. It is such a comfort food to me. But like the person that posted below, I am confused by the term 'Southwest Spices'. I have never seen a bottle of it in the spice aisle of the supermarket. Can you tell me what the individual spices are? I want to make the recipe correctly, so it would mean a lot to know what spices to use.

/Chicken and rice just goes so well together, doesn't it? I love the southwest flair that you put into this dish with the garlic tomato and olive oil, but I have never used southwest spices. Where do I get them? Are they in the grocery store, or do I need to go to a specialty food store?

Hi SissieSass, it sounds like the Southwest spices in this recipe come from a store-bought spice blend, so you should be able to find it in your grocery store. - Natalie, Editor of AllFreeSlowCookerRecipes
