Slow Cooker Chorizo And Black Bean Chili

This chili recipe sounds unreal! So good! Chorizo sausage! Black beans! Who would have thought? Not me. I notice that it requires 2 cans of black beans, one can being mashed or "smashed". I am guessing this is to "glue" the chorizo together with the beans and vegetables. I am not sure why it specifically says to use frozen onions. But okay, it will allow me to be in the kitchen without crying over dicing onions.
