Do you think that I can use another nut like peanuts in place of the walnuts or pecans in this recipe? My daughter is allergic to tree nuts, but I really want to try this dish and see if she likes it. I love the way the cake comes out of the crock pot, but she is funny about some textures, so I am curious as to whether she will like this one or not.
