"I really truly immensely appreciate food that you can just throw in a pot and walk away from for hours at a time. I think that's why I make so many soups and stews. In the pot they go, and when I come back from my day, there's a delicious meal just waiting for us. Short of hiring a cook, it doesn't get a whole lot better! This Slow Cooker Honey Garlic Chicken recipe definitely fits in that category. And the smell it will fill your house with is kind of incredible. Chicken, honey, garlic, a touch of soy sauce - it's reminiscent of my favorite childhood Chinese food restaurant. It's not really an Asian dish, but we served it with instant white rice and roasted broccoli. Mmmmmm."

Honey AND garlic?!? Sign me up, please! I can't wait to try this recipe.

This reminds me of sweet and sour chicken, but without the pineapple. I would like to make this with boneless, skinless chicken instead of the bone-in chicken. Do you know how long it would take to cook it this way? I would need to use eight pieces of chicken for my large family, but I have no clue how long I should cook it.

Hi SissieSass, the blogger says in the comment section of her recipe that you can use boneless chicken, and it won't take as long to cook. However, since you'll be making a larger batch than the written recipe, I'd try checking it after 4 hours on high or 7 hours on low. I hope that helps! - Natalie, Editor of AllFreeSlowCookerRecipes

Wow, this really is an easy recipe. I love chicken and garlic. The blogger's idea to serve it with instant rice and broccoli is the perfect combination. I bet this smells wonderful when it's cooking. I think I'll put it in my "to cook in January file".

I can't believe how easy this recipe is. And so good! There is no excuse not to have home cooked chicken now.
