I love that you combine the cheese sauce and the ham and cook the flavors together for a while. You could easily make a grilled ham and cheese, but the flavor wouldn't be all through the meat like this one huh? I think it sounds like a perfect dish for lunch.

Hi Julie I have not yet tried this receipe However it sounds wonderful and I'm considering trying it I do have one question we're not a Velveeta family thus my vs stars to each their own I say That said my question is this have you ever tried this recipe with cheddar cheese in place of the Velveeta Any suggestions to do so I usually make my mac cheese slightly differently than most - I don't make a cheese sauce rather I add milk butter and shredded or roughly cut up cheddar cheese to my pasta then bake it down at a low temp stirring once or twice into melted goodness Therefore I'm thinking that since this recipe has evaporated milk already that perhaps with some dare I say more butter and shredded cheddar I can accomplish the same result melted cheese 'sauce' I'd love your feedback on this Thanks AlsoRead More thank you also for the great website your blog I am very impressed that you seem to be able to do it all - raise a family have a career and maintain your website blog etc all while keeping a smile on your face You should be very proud of your accomplishments I'm in the process of starting a blog for our website but must admit that it has slightly intimidated me so far Fingers crossed that it goes as well as yours has
