Country scalloped potatoes make a tasty dish for a holiday party, or simply a family dinner. The slow cooker side dish recipe has two distinct cook times. You can either cook on Low for 7 to 9 hours or on High for 3 to 4 hours.

These are not scalloped potatoes. To make real, old fashioned scalloped potatoes use the following. 1 - Peel and slice three very large or five or sis regular sized potatoes. Peal and slice two or three medium sized onions. Layer potatoes and onions in a casserole dish Sprinkle a little flour and saltine cracker crumbs between layers. Pour 2 0r 3 cups of milk over the whole dish.Sprinkle the top with cracker crumbs and dot with butter. Cover and bake until tender, about 45 minutes to 1 hour. Remove cover last 5 minutes of baking. Bake at 300 This recipe is more that 150 years old . dearcar
