If you're in search of slow cooker side dish recipes for the holidays or just want a tasty fall side, this recipe for Cranberry Sweet Potatoes is a perfect choice. Made with sweet potatoes, dried cranberries, cinnamon, butter and more, this dish is sweet perfection.

Serves: 6

Cooking Time: 4 hr

Ingredients
  • 1/4 cup orange juice
  • 8 tablespoons butter (1 stick)
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 4 to 5 pounds sweet potatoes, washed, peeled and cut into 1-inch pieces
  • 1 cup sweetened dried cranberries
Instructions
  1. In slow cooker, mix all ingredients except potatoes. Cover and cook on HIGH while preparing potatoes.
  2. Stir potatoes into warm mixture, cover slow cooker and cook on HIGH 3 to 4 hours.
  3. Once potatoes are soft, stir to mashed consistency.
Notes

Tip: Replace potatoes with canned sweet potatoes (drained). Reduce cooking temperature to LOW.
