The Anolon Accolade 2.5-Quart Covered Saucepan is built with the same prestige Anolon has become known for in their cookware. The hard-anodized aluminum uses patented Precision Forge™ technology to create an optimal cooking surface. The addition of a Sapphire-reinforced, triple-layer nonstick interior sets this saucepan a step above the rest.

I love the strong build of the pan. The thick base is complemented by thinner walls, keeping the weight down. This great design is possible thanks to the hard-anodized aluminum construction. The base incorporates stainless steel to make this pan induction-friendly.

Real sapphire is used in the triple-layer nonstick to create an incredibly durable surface. This strong protection means you are able to use your metal utensils without destroying the nonstick performance. This gives the pan a huge advantage over other similar cookware brands. Ultimately, it lasts 16 times longer than traditional nonstick and can even be cleaned in the dishwasher.

One of my favorite fesatures of the pan is actually the cast stainless steel handle. It is dual-riveted, but the rivets are flush with the surface. This gives you the strength, without having food build up by the rivets.

The pan comes complete with a tempered glass lid. The lid sits within the pan to create a tight seal. This gives you the most control over how your food cooks. The tempering process also does a nice job of keeping the lid from shattering.

The size and build of the saucepan makes it a great choice for whipping up a sauce, heating leftovers, warming soup, and so much more!
