The Ayesha Porcelain Enamel 5.5 Qt. Casserole with Locking & Straining Lid is designed with the home cook in mind. The glass lid, slides into a locking position, and you can strain liquid right from the pot without needing a strainer. The aluminum pot heats quickly and is perfect for making pasta, casseroles, side dishes, and more!

This pot incorporates some of the same great features I have come to love in Ayesha's cookware. It is constructed from quick and even heating, aluminum. The easy to clean, hard enamel exterior is available in Twilight Teal, Sienna Red, Brown Sugar, and Basil Green.

The diamond textured interior bottom is designed specifically to help with browning. Most nonstick coatings are great for food release, but not great for getting a perfect sear or browned surface. I found the raised bottom on these skillets helped achieve browning similar to that from stainless steel constructed pans. When cooking soups, stocks, and sauces, the browning of ingredients is incredibly important.

The lid and the top of the pot are thoughtfully designed. The tempered glass lid locks into the pot which incorporates a strainer. This is so convenient for cooking pasta and grains because it eliminates the need to use a whole strainer. You can simply strain with the lid on, and add sauce or other ingredients right into the pot.

The durable design, smart locking lid, and versatile size, makes this pot a kitchen essential!
