I have long kept an ugly orange container of open baking soda in my fridge. While it does the trick in keeping the contents odorless, it is an eyesore and I don't like leaving it open to potential germs or food. This NewMetro design keeps the contents protected, with small holes in the shape of snowflakes that allow for absorption of odors. The top of the head incorporates more snowflake holes, and a dial to set as a reminder for changing out the baking soda. This extra detail is very helpful.
