These beautifully-illustrated recipe card collections from Working Class Studio, are just what every chef needs to keep organized in the kitchen. Working Class Studio is a division of SCAD (the Savannah College of Art and Design), which cultivates and promotes the work of their many talented students, alumni and faculty artists. The designs found on these recipe cards -- The Meg and Kelly Collections -- were designed by Kelly Stewart, an M.A. Illustration Design student, and Meg Sutton, a B.F.A Graphic Design student. The collections each come with 8 uniquely-illustrated cards, which display different designs and color schemes throughout. The 4x6 cards sets, are sold by the case in sets of 6 for $30.00 each.
The warm colors and culinary designs found in the Meg recipe card collection are a welcomed addition to any kitchen -- casual or professional. The overall soulful vibe of Meg's 8 recipe card designs depict some of the South’s most popular culinary dishes. These cards are covered with illustrated variations of two classic pairings: chicken and waffles, and the Southern favorite, shrimp and grits.
The Kelly collections offers something a bit different, and will appeal to those who appreciate the wit of a well-thought-out food pun with references to aspects of pop culture. Clever and cute, this recipe card collection is great for adding some comic relief in the kitchen. Each food-inspired design managed to put an immediate smile on my face, and I'm sure they'll have the same effect on nearly anyone who purchases this delightfully-whimsy collection. This collection also comes with 8 different and artfully-illustrated cards, each with their own "punny" phrase.
For a simple and creative way to brighten up your day and your kitchen, the Meg and Kelly recipe card collections from Working Class Studio, are a must-have.
