Slow Cooker Stuffed Baked Apples

One of the best stuffed baked apple recipes you'll ever eat!

Slow Cooker Stuffed Baked Apples are a great fall recipe that will have your home smelling wonderful while they "bake." This is a great dessert recipe to make when you're craving some sweet, but not too rich or heavy. A "sauce" consisting of cinnamon, cardamon, ginger, and maple syrup coats a mixture of dried cranberries and then fills each of your cored apples. Let them bake in your slow cooker until soft and easy to cut with a fork. These are sure to be a hit during the fall or even as a healthier dessert at your holiday table.

Yields6 baked apples

Preparation Time15 min

Slow Cooker Time HIGH4 hr

Ingredients

  • 6 apples (any kind you like)
  • 1/4 cup dried cranberries
  • 1 teaspoon pomegranate seeds (optional)
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon cardamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon ginger
  • 2 tablespoons natural maple syrup

Instructions

  1. Core the apples halfway through.

  2. Mix the filling-dried cranberries, pomegranate seeds, cinnamon, cardamom, ginger and maple syrup. Then transfer the apples to slow cooker and stuff them.

  3. Pop the lid on and let cook for 3-6 hours on high or until the apples are fork tender.

  4. For additional deliciousness, enjoy warm with ice cream. Trust us, it's incredible!

I have been looking for a recipe like this for Thanksgiving. Thank you! I like that it can be made in a slow cooker - that is so helpful when you're trying to get a holiday meal on the table.

Man I can smell these cooking already. What a great fall treat and it will be on my to make list. I have not made baked apples in a long time and never in the slow cooker. This is a very good video and I love the way she shows every detail and always says things she forgot to mention along the way and she adds fun to it. A very easy recipe and not too expensive. I would make a little more sauce on mine tough. I bet kids would like these too. This is also a great way to let the kids learn how to cook with a slow cooker. Start them young. Why not.
