I usually don't care for Salisbury steak but this recipe looks delicious. It probably will be tender and full of flavor. It does not take a lot of prep time, it slowly cooks and you have time to do other things. The end result is you have a delicious main dish and you can put it over noodles, potatoes or rice. This will be on my shopping list for this week. Thank you.

Ive never made Salisbury steak in a slow cooker before. Great idea! Theres lots of fantastic flavor in this dish. The steak cooks up tender and juicy with a perfect mushroom sauce. Onion soup mix is not something I use because of msg intolerance, so I sauted a large onion until it was brown and mixed it into the ground beef for the flavor. Also, I used organic mushroom soup and organic beef broth instead of the dry beef gravy mix and water.

I don't remember my mom ever making Salisbury steak, but I think it's pretty good. I wouldn't order it in a restaurant, just like I won't order meatloaf, because my recipe is better. My family will enjoy this with mashed potatoes or noodles.
