Made this over Memorial Day weekend. It was terrific. I buttered the corn before wrapping in foil. It was the best corn on the cob I've ever made.


A faster way of cooking corn on the cob and not having to pull off leaves and silk threads is to cook it in the microwave. You cut off the larger end, making sure that the leaves are not attached to the cob, then cook in the microwave four minutes per ear of corn. Use a hot pad to remove from microwave, hold the smaller end of the ear of corn, hold up in the air, and shake. The ear of corn should slide right out, free of the leaves and corn silk.
