St. Paddy's Corned Beef and Cabbage

This St. Paddy's Corned Beef and Cabbage dinner is a traditional slow cooker corned beef and cabbage recipe that will have you feeling the luck of the Irish. Slow Cooker Time HIGH9 hr

Ingredients

  • 5 carrots peeled, and rough cut (about 1-inch pieces)
  • 10 red Russet potatoes, washed and quartered
  • 1 onion, halved and sliced
  • 3 1/2 cup water
  • 4 pound corned beef brisket with spice pack
  • 1 (16-ounce) beer (preferably ale)
  • 1 small head cabbage, rough cut

Instructions

  1. Place carrots, potatoes and onion on the bottom of the slow cooker.

  2. Add the water.

  3. Place brisket on top of the vegetables.

  4. Add the beer.

  5. Sprinkle the spices on top.

  6. Cover and set on HIGH. Cook for 7 to 8 hours.

  7. Add the cabbage, and cook for 1 more hour.
