Preparation Time5 min

Slow Cooker Time HIGH1 hr

Ingredients

  • 16 ounce white chocolate melting chocolate bars (vanilla candy coating or almond bark also OK)
  • 1 box Funfetti cake mix (dry)
  • 6 cup Cheerios cereal
  • 1/2 teaspoon peppermint extract
  • 1/4 cup crushed peppermint candies
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar (optional)

Instructions

  1. Add white chocolate to your 6-quart slow cooker. If it comes in bars, break the bars into cubes to help it melt more quickly.

  2. Melt the chocolate on HIGH, stirring occasionally. Melting the chocolate can take up to 1 hour (our chocolate melted in a 1/2 hour). Watch for signs of burning and stir often.

  3. Add peppermint extract to fully-melted chocolate in the slow cooker and stir.

  4. Add crushed peppermint to melted chocolate and stir to combine.

  5. Add Cheerios and stir to evenly coat the cereal with chocolate.

  6. Next, add your dry cake mix in slowly while stirring to coat the cereal evenly.

  7. If you want your Snowman Poop to look especially white, add 1/2 cup powdered sugar (or more) and evenly coat cereal mixture.

  8. Add additional crushed peppermint as desired.

  9. Cool candy on a baking sheet with wax paper.

  10. Enjoy!
