Ingredients

  • 4 pork chops (boneless preferably)
  • 1 cup flour
  • 3 teaspoon poultry seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 dash chicken or beef broth
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 4 tablespoon unsalted butter
  • 1 teaspoon ground black pepper

Instructions

  1. Place flour, poultry seasoning, ground black pepper, and salt into a zip-top plastic bag and shake to mix. Add the pork chops to the bag and shake until they're coated. Press down on bag against the counter for extra coating.

  2. Set your electric pressure cooker or Instant Pot to the saute setting. Allow 10 minutes for it to preheat, and then add butter. Once the butter is melted, add your pork chops and sear each side until browned.

For best results, you may have to add half of the butter and sear two pork chops first. Then add the rest of the butter and sear remaining pork chops.

  3. Place pork chops and chopped onion in your pressure cooker or Instant Pot. Then add broth.

Set your pressure cooker or Instant Pot on high. Make sure the pressure valve is sealed, and allow about 15 minutes for the Instant Pot to reach appropriate pressure level. Then let it cook on high for 10 minutes.

  4. Once it's finished cooking, let your pressure cooker or Instant Pot naturally release pressure. After 10 minutes of resting, open pressure valve to release remaining pressure.

  5. For thicker gravy, add any remaining flour to the juices, and stir until smooth. Then let it rest for a few minutes before serving.
