I read through the entire recipe and thought that I could only make this in the oven. My oven doesn't like to work when I need it to, so I LIVE for my slow cooker. I am glad to see that this recipe easily adapts to the slow cooker! It is a much more involved recipe than I would normally choose to make, but for Christmas- why not? It's a special day that comes once a year. This could turn out to be a new family tradition
