I have made shepherd's pie in the past and it is one of my favorite comfort foods for the cold weather months. It has a little bit of everything all in one dish. However, this is the first time I have read a recipe that includes a can of diced tomatoes.For my personal taste, I may leave that out of the recipe. The picture shows a nice gravy poured over the top. Yum!

This looks amazing! What a great comfort food. I have never eaten or cooked shepherds pie, but considering it has everything- -meat, potatoes, and vegetables, how could it be wrong?! I like the thought of it cooking all day and smelling so wonderful when I walk in the door after work. I will probably use the package of mashed potatoes to save time.

I have to try this recipe, I have always done this the quick way but i think this would turn out so much better, with much more flavor!!
