This recipe makes me think of my mom's coffee cake when I was a kid. She always used a container of sour cream to make it, and it was the best tasting cake I ever ate for breakfast. We loved it when she made it, and I cannot wait to try some new dishes like this one with my kids.

This recipe combines three wonderful things--apple pie, coffee cake, and slow cookers! I'm sure some people associate apple recipes with fall, but I love apple pie year round, so I will make this soon. It will be wonderful with vanilla ice cream or Cool Whip. I love cake mix recipes. They make very good recipes a lot easier.

There are so many dessert recipes that can be made in your crock pot. This apple coffee cake/pie sounds like it would be a real winner. It actually uses real sour cream and evaporated milk to make this dessert very rich. It should be a nice balance along with the tartness from the apples.
