I almost passed this recipe by, since I thought it would be too sweet from the coca - cola and brown sugar. However, I recall doing a pot roast in my crock pot before like this, and it was very good. The saltiness of the onion soup mix kind of balances it out! I plan to try these meatballs over buttered egg noodles or mashed potatoes!

Who would ever think that you could use cola and make a delicious meatball recipe? The stuff works wonders. It gives the meat a tasty and delicious flavor along with making the meat extra moist, I think. Do you think the soda makes the roast moister? I don't know if the carbonation makes a difference or not.

This is a different type of meatballs and would never had thought to put coca cola in them. Always good to make something different and so easy to make. A great recipe when you just want that little something not too heavy and not to light. This would even be a good dish to make for a guys football get together. Just make in the slow cooker and let them help themselves. Serve with some good potato salad and call it done.
