I really hope "better than Arby's" is accurate! I really love Arby's roast beef sandwiches, and this would save me a ton of money from going there at least once a week. I am wondering if anyone has tried this by making it in the morning, instead of at night. I do not want to leave it sitting all day, unless that is actually part of the recipe.

Who knew that you just have to add onion soup mix and brown sugar and you get that exclusive Arby's taste? I do like Arby's but wonder about the quality of the meat. I don't have to wonder anymore. I have this recipe. You do have to watch brown sugar so that it does not burn. All in all the recipe is worth trying and the results will not go to waste! Thank you.

I love Arby's,it is one of my favorite places to eat while I am out. Do you have a way to make it sugar free? I am diabetic, but I would love to make this recipe for my family and myself. If it were regular sugar, I would substitute Splenda or Stevia for the sugar, but I am not sure what to put in place of the brown sugar.

I have had great results in the past using the flavors of brown sugar and onion soup mix for meats in the slow cooker, so I really want to try this recipe. I am curious though, since the picture shows really thin slices like lunchmeat. How do you slice it so thinly without it falling apart?

This looks very good. I like Arby's I just don't think to go there. I don't know how many hours to cook this. Overnight? I've never used my slow cooker overnight though I do use it and leave for work all the time. I wondered also how to slice it thin like Arby's does.

This looks good. What type of roast would you use and how do you slice it so thin.

Arby's is my favorite place and it probably is the arbys sauce I put on the sandwich which I love the most. Anybody know the recipe for the sauce?

The recipe is wonderful. However, I wonder how many skip past it because of its name? LOL. Arby's roast beef is absolutely awful! What I feed my dog is better in quality or taste than arby's roast beef. IMO - ANYTHING is better than arby's roast beef so it takes nothing to be better than arbys!

That's great, smoky1953! We're glad you enjoyed the recipe :) --Editors of AllFreeSlowCookerRecipes

I fixed this for a Saturday night meal and invited my sister who is an avid Arby's lover. She couldn't tell the difference - she actually thought I went to Arby's and bought supper!
