Can I leave out the mushrooms or just add something else to the dish like celery, water chestnuts, or maybe a few diced potatoes? I figure as long as I substitute something for the mushrooms, that the dish will still have the same filling texture, just not the same veggies. I am allergic and cannot have the mushrooms at all.
