I love to have coffee cake on the weekends. My family would probably want to have this with Cool Whip on top. I think I'll add pecans or walnuts.

This looks like such an easy recipe to make. I am planning to add this one to my list because I can see my whole family devouring it this weekend. How much time would you add to double the recipe, or would that be a bad idea? I have two crock pots, so I could make two separate batches, but I would prefer to make a savory and a sweet dish the same day so that I could have guests over or feed the family a hearty meal even though I was busy.
