This is truly a much easier recipe than I was anticipating. I love that you can just whip up a few ingredients and put them in the crock pot and a few hours later, you have a dessert that will knock everyone's socks off when they try it for the first time.

I always wondered how cakes turn out in the crockpot. I don't understand how the cake is cut in a square piece in the picture. But ok! It does sound good and I would be willing to give it a try. There is no oil added so I like that a lot. I am watching my weight and could use all the help I can get.

This is the easiest red velvet cake, and it looks really good! What a perfect dessert to make for Valentine's. I love the idea of using applesauce instead of oil. I'm sure it will still be moist.
