I never knew that you could make a cake in the slow cooker, as I thought the gooey pie filling would stick / burn to the edges. I can't wait to give this one a try, since it looks very similar to this cherry crumb they used to serve in the school lunch line many years ago - my favorite.

I have had a dump cake like this before, but always baked in the oven. I like the idea of using a slow cooker for dessert, especially if the oven is in use to cook the main course. I would add either almonds or pecans to this. I wonder if anyone has tried it with other fruit pie filling? Blueberry, apple, even pineapple! The hubby would love it with ice cream!

This cherry dump cake looks amazing! With only 3 ingredients, anyone can make it! I am always looking for easy dessert recipes to take to family functions, and this one will be one I will definitely be adding to my list of go-tos! I would think you could do this with any pie filling, and it would be delicious! Just add some ice cream or whipped cream on top and youve got the perfect dessert.

I love this recipe for the 3-ingredients Cherry Dump Cake recipe! I use this when camping, we have used apple and blueberry pie fillings too. All of them came out so good. We have added broken chocolate candy bars to the top the last hour of cooking for a special treat. This one is a family favorite dessert while camping. Thank you so much for sharing this free slow cooker dessert recipe.

I have to agree with saphy98 that this one would be a perfect starter recipe for dump cakes. I love making these kind of cakes because you can just throw one in the oven quick if someone comes over around dinner time. You can keep the ingredients on hand and throw it in while they are getting a drink or using the restroom. Put on a pot of coffee and enjoy your visit with a sweet treat.

This recipe sounds delicious. I have always wanted to try a Dump recipe and this one is perfect. Only three ingredients and you are done. The pictures make it look so good. I love to bake and make different deserts so this recipe will be a good one to try. I would call this an easy and quick recipe.

So good! Due to my food allergies (gluten, dairy, eggs) I had to rearrange just a little. I found a gluten free vegan yellow cake mix, and used dairy free butter, but for those changes its the perfect . Everyone loved it! they didn't even know or ask if it was "one of my recipes", as I have to eat this way. They didn't know! Thanks so much for sharing it!

Great tasting dessert!! Just love it with a wee bit of vanilla ice cream or cherry armatteo ice cream witg bits of chocolate.

Wow! With only 3 ingredients, and just dump them into a slow cooker, this dump cake sounds very easy but looks delicious. I don't have a slow cooker yet, but will buy one soon. I definitely will save this recipe for future cooking. Thank you very much for sharing this recipe! Happy Holiday!

This cake really takes 3 ingredients, and it really is a dump cake. The picture of it looks so good. With three ingredients and a slow cooker you can't go wrong with a simple, but beautiful dessert like this. I would have to have it with vanilla ice cream, too.

I have made something similar to this is a 9 x 13 pan. I think it had more butter and some of the recipes call for pineapple too. I did not care for the pineapple and the cherry. It was too wet. This is a great idea. It is one of our favorite recipes the normal way so oh boy, I can have it more often. May be dangerous...just be careful..it is the bomb.

This 3 Ingredient Cherry Dump Cake can be served for a barbeque picnic or for a holiday buffet or for a casual family dessert. It looks so delicious. And with just the cost of a couple cans of cherry pie filling and a boxed cake mix, you've got this lovely dessert to present. So simple!

I've been craving a good cherry pie dessert recently. I haven't used my slow cooker in a while. I'll have to try this!
