Here is a fun recipe for a game day event, a birthday party or a big family event where you want a homemade snack that is extra special. Slow Cooker Caramel Popcorn Snack Mix is an easy snack to make and it always tastes homemade, sweet and savory. Sugar, honey, almonds and pretzels make this popcorn the best around. First you melt the sweet coating for about 20 minutes in the slow cooker and then you drop in the popcorn and cook and stir over an hour and a half. Take out to cool and serve it up in bags or a big bowl.

This is such a crazy idea, and it works!

This recipe looks soooo good! I can't wait to give it a try, as I love the mix of snack food in desserts.

My son loves caramel popcorn, so I decided to make this for him to take back to college with him. I used some pumpkin spiced pecans, because he loves them. This added a different taste, and it was so good. I think you could customize with any sweet nut combination you like, and it would be equally good. It's a very easy recipe. The slow cooker pretty much does the work, you just have to stir every now and then.

As much as I love almonds, I would have to switch them out for peanuts because of my daughters tree nut allergy. This sounds so delicious that I want to make the kids get into the spirit and make all kinds of appetizers and dishes. Thanks for the fun ideas.

I never would have thought to make caramel popcorn in a slow cooker. What a cool idea for game day treats! I've been super intimidated about making caramel popcorn in the oven because I can get easily distracted and am worried that I would walk away while it is in the oven. Definitely going to try this method. I love to add things like MMs after the cook time. Perfect for giving away as gifts during the holidays. Thanks for sharing, adding this to my saved recipes for future use.
