Wow, does this recipe look great! I love potatoes and cheddar cheese, so this soup is a must-make for me.

This recipe looks so simple! I am wondering if anyone has tried it, and if you can taste the beer. I do not like the taste of beer, so I would look for a recipe that may use beer but does not taste too much like it. The recipe does look really easy, and wouldnt take much time to put together for an amazing dinner.

This is such a simple recipe to be so good. It fools you with how good this is. Just a few ingredients and this soup is spectacular. It is a deliciously, creamy bowl of comfort. I love how this doesn't call for canned cheese soup. It actually makes the cheese soup as it cooks. I did as one of the comments suggested and added bacon, but I also added some green onion on top. Perfect for the cool winter nights!

Sometimes the simplest recipes for soup always turn out the best! There are very few ingredients in this cheesy soup, so it is very affordable to make. For serving, you could even sprinkle on a little cooked crumbled bacon for an extra special touch. Since it has beer in it, the guys will love it!

I'm just back from the Food and Wine Festival at Disney World and my first stop was the Canadian pavilion to taste the cheddar cheese soup. It was to die for! Now I'm starting to collect cheddar cheese soup recipes and this one is going on the list. Great for a winter lunch.

Not sure why beer adds so much flavor to already delicious cheese-baed soups but the combination is spectacular.

I like the simplicity of this soup recipe. I would make it for a starter or for lunch.
