Who doesn't love a bowl of traditional New England clam chowder? All the creamy goodness of the soup comes alive in dip form with this Creamy New England Clam Dip recipe. This is an easy clam dip recipe that pairs great with buttery crackers. If your mouth isn't watering yet, just wait. There's bacon, beer and butter in this appetizing dip as well. Green onions provide a welcomed crunch, and softened cream cheese makes this dip pleasantly spreadable. Serve it as an appetizer at your next party, or for a tasty indulgent snack any time.

Slow Cooker Time LOW2 hr


  • 3 (6.5-ounce) cans chopped clams, drained
  • 3 (8-ounce) pkgs. cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup sliced green onions
  • 1/3 cup chopped cooked bacon
  • 1/4 cup beer
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • For the Topping
  • 1/2 cup Oyster crackers, crushed
  • 1 tablespoon butter, melted
  • 1 tablespoon sliced green onion


  1. Place clams, cream cheese, green onion, bacon, beer and Worcesterhire sauce in slow cooker cookware. Stir until combined.

  2. Stir crushed crackers, butter and 1 tablespoon green onion in small bowl. Spread over clam mixture.

  3. Cover and cook on HIGH 1 hour or LOW 2 hours or until heated through.

  4. Serve with chips or crackers.

So, this is something different for me! I don't usually choose to make dips with clams or even those salad shrimps. Perhaps it is because I have not seen any that seem appetizing. This one, however, sounds absolutely delicious. I would give this a try for maybe this holiday season's buffet table. I might start a new trend in my family!
