Ingredients

  • 2 7-ounce cans tuna, drained and flaked
  • 1 can condensed cream of celery soup
  • 3 hard-cooked eggs, chopped
  • 1 1/2 cup diced celery
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise or salad dressing
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 1/2 cup crushed potato chips

Instructions

  1. Combine all ingredients except 1/4 cup of the crushed potato chips; stir well.
     
  2. Pour into greased slow cooker.
     
  3. Top with reserved potato chips.
     
  4. Cover and cook on LOW for 5 to 8 hours.

This is also good with canned chicken. Not crazy about tuna.

Tuna casserole is not for everyone. It is kind of an acquired taste. THough I would not go out of my way to make an extravagant tuna casserole for myself, this one is a very simple recipe that is perfect for a last minute invite, or as a recipe to pass on to your college grad who will be living on their own now! There's not a lot of special ingredients used. Just stuff you can find at any supermarket.

This is an interesting recipe. The name confused me because I wouldn't put a deli salad in my slow cooker! But I do like tuna casseroles, and I don't usually put eggs or mayo in my casseroles. I will try this because I like to have more than one tuna casserole recipe in my dinner rotation.
