Slow Cooker Jerk Chicken

"Slow Cooker Jerk Chicken is a quick recipe with fantastic authentic Jamaican flavors of peppers, onions, allspice and cloves and with no mess to clean up. Slow Cooker Jerk Chicken is an easier way to make a delicious authentic Jamaican meal than firing up the grill and you’ll have no worries about the smoke you’ll be making on the indoor grill or the peppers burning your eyes standing above the outdoor grill. This recipe really does sound like it would be very tasty and pretty easy to put together. There's just nothing like putting a dinner together in a slow cooker and leaving it to do its thing. The food smells great as it cooks and if you leave home for work, and come home-that is wonderful to think you have dinner waiting for you. I have found an alternative to jalapenos for those how like the spice without all the heat. There's a "tamed jalapeno" that comes in a jar. Try that if you want spice without all the heat of a fresh jalapeno. I am going to make this recipe later in the week.

I love the crispiness and color on this chicken! The extra step of browning it in the skillet first is well worth the results. It is so moist and flavorful, and the aroma of all the exotic spices is intoxicating! I appreciate that the spices get ground up into a slurry -it is never pleasant to bite into a whole clove! I love my jalapenos, so I added 3 with the ribs removed. Loved it!

When I look at the picture I can't believe this is a slow cooked recipe. This looks more like grilled chicken. Wow, it looks tasty. It's a great combination of ingredients to make a sweet and spicy chicken. I think I'll serve it with rice and a vegetable.
