I love that you put directions for any nuts because we can only use peanuts since my daughter is allergic to tree nuts. I love peanut brittle. My grandmother used to make it all the time when I was younger and we would always have trays of it out at Christmas when guests came over and visited.

I love peanut brittle, but sometimes the stuff in the store seems like it has gotten too hard. I would love to make this so I can enjoy it fresh. I like the idea of experimenting with adding something to the peanuts, like almonds or walnuts. I've never made any type of candy in my slow cooker. Look's like a good time to start!

I make this stuff every year and it is difficult to get it to turn out just right. I think this should be easier to make and easier to eat.

I have read and re-read the recipe. When do you add the peanuts? There is no mention of them being in the crock pot at all. Did I miss something? Do you start out the cooking process with the peanuts or are they added after the first 30 minutes of cooking? Please clarify...
