This time of the year, it is really hard to think about soup. This recipe does sound delicious. Perhaps it will be one of the first soups I make when the weather begins to turn cool.

So many of the broccoli cheese soup recipes that I see out there on the internet use a ton of that pasteurized processed cheese product, and I am so glad to see that this one does NOT! The use of evaporated milk and cream cheese is a very clever idea for creamy soups, and is much more natural than the alternative. I might even dice up a potato and a carrot or two to add next time for even more veggies!

When I was a teenager my Mom prepared for us broccoli with cheese sauce. It was the best thing I had ever eaten. Years later I had the opportunity to eat just steamed broccoli and it was good too. (don't NEED the cheese, but hey!) This recipe is on the top of my gotta try it list and can eat the dishes too!!!

We are a soup-living family. Even though my son doesn't like broccoli, he will like this soup. This will be a good Sunday meal, cooking all day and ready whenever we are. I'll make French bread in my bread machine because dipping bread in the soup is delicious!

Broccoli is one of my favorite veggies and I am very pleased to say my whole family enjoys it too so we were all very happy to try this recipe yesterday. It is really very good. There is no fussy preparation, the combination of cheese and broccoli is very tasty and I have already added it to the list I keep of dishes to definitely make again.
