VitaClay 2-in-1 Rice 'n Slow Cooker

VitaClay 2-in-1 Rice 'n Slow Cooker

Reviewed by , Editor,

The expertly designed VitaClay High-Fired 2-in-1 Rice 'n Slow Cooker allows you to make meals with just the press of a button. This slow cooker has a clay pot instead of a metal insert, giving your food more color and flavor. The appliance comes complete with a recipe booklet, rice paddle, and measure cup.

One thing I love about this slow cooker, is that the food doesn't have to cook so slowly. That may seem contradictory, but in actuality, the timing of a traditional cooker can be inhibiting. With this model, you can still let it go all day, even if it only takes a couple hours to cook. If you get home for work, and decide you want your favorite slow cooker recipe, you can be eating in two hours instead of four or six.

The clay insert is what makes the difference in terms of timing, flavor, and much more. It is naturally nonstick, but it still allows food to develop more caramelization than in a standard steel insert. The clay only helps to add flavor, and won't impart flavor any metallic flavors like metals would.

Cooking rice is simple in this appliance. There are two different settings for white and brown rice, which means it cooks the rice at the proper temperature and for the proper amount of time. The white rice is ready in 40 minutes, while the brown rice is ready in 50 minutes.

One your timer goes off, you don't need to worry about being home to hit the keep warm button. The appliance will automatically switch over to the keep warm function for up to 12 hours! This is very convenient when you aren't sure what time you will be home and ready to enjoy dinner.

This multi-purpose kitchen appliance will be your new favorite. The unique characteristics, and fast-cooking design make many recipes very easy to handle, even with a busy schedule. They even include an extensive recipe booklet to get you cooking!
