How much powder nutmeg do I need to use in this recipe if I don't have the fresh nutmeg? I think your tart sounds so great! I bet my family will be ecstatic to find a different dessert on the table than they are used to getting. I can't wait to see their faces.

Although this tart is done in the oven and on the stovetop, it really is worth giving a try. It has a very simple and traditional flavor, while being indulgently creamy. It is great on its own, but I can't help but top it with some fresh berries when serving for a little extra pop of color.

This is NOT a slow cooker recipe - the 'source recipe' clearly states to bake in the oven...so disappointing... -)
