Does it matter what oil you use for this recipe? I know it often doesn't matter, but sometimes there is a recipe that will only work good with one type of oil. Apple cinnamon is such a classic flavor combination. I think it probably works really well in this dish. I can't wait to make it and find out.

This bread is so quick and easy - the only real work involved is peeling the apples! Not to mention that when this stuff is "baking" in the slow cooker, it makes your house smell heavenly! Next time I might even throw some raisins into the batter as well as the chopped apples for a little pop of color!
