Simply the Best Slow Cooker Meatloaf Recipe
A tried and true slow cooker meatloaf for busy weeknights!
We call this recipe our Simply the Best Slow Cooker Meatloaf recipe because it keeps dinner simple and delicious. Unlike many other meatloaf recipes, this one keeps the ingredient count low without sacrificing flavor.
Inspired by Cracker Barrel's addicting meatloaf recipe, we aimed to duplicate the flavor palate while taking some slow cooker-inspired liberties of our own. Make this for the family. It's sure to please!

Slow Cooker Time HIGH1 hr
Slow Cooker Time LOW3 hr
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 medium onion, diced
- 1 can diced tomatoes
- 1 green pepper, diced
- 1 egg
- 1 cup frozen biscuits, grated
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup ketchup
Grate the frozen biscuits through the large end of a cheese grater. Then combine all of the ingredients, except for the ketchup, in a large bowl. Shape the combined ingredients into a loaf.
Spray your slow cooker with non-stick cooking spray. Place your meatloaf into the slow cooker.
Cook meatloaf on high for 1 hour. Then, reduce heat to low and cook for another 3-4 hours.
When finished, brush top of your meatloaf with ketchup and let rest for 5-10 minutes. Serve and enjoy.
