Would you recommend using the apple slices about a half an hour or so before serving, or would it be better for the flavor to put them in sooner? I love using fruit flavors in my pork recipes. I think that it adds a brightness to the meat and cuts the fat very well, don't you?

Hi SissieSass, adding the apples in earlier might make the apple flavor more intense, but you might end up with mushy apples, as the blogger says. You could add the apples in later, if you want firmer apples. I hope that helps! - Natalie, Editor of AllFreeSlowCookerRecipes
