With a blend of 3 glorious cheeses, you can't go wrong when you make this 1-2-3 Punch Macaroni and Cheese. American, Gruyere, and Cheddar cheeses melt together in this easy mac and cheese recipe. The result is a symphony of creamy flavors. This is one of the best macaroni and cheese recipes we've seen because it has multiple layers of cheesy goodness. All of the ingredients simmer in your trusty slow cooker for roughly 90 minutes. Then you'll have a heavenly mac and cheese that doubles as a side dish and an evening meal.

Make sure to stir well before serving.

This recipe would be great to take to a church potluck! For more sharable ideas, check out our collection Sunday Supper: 45+ Slow Cooker Potluck Recipes for Church.

I think a mozzarella, provolone, or even an asiago cheese would be acceptable substitutions for the gruyere if you don't want to use it. I might not use a parmesan since it has a lower moisture content, melts more slowly, and may make the sauce a little dry. It couldn't hurt to grate some on top at the end, though!

You can't go wrong with three cheeses can you? I was wondering if I can use mozzarella or fresh Parmesan instead of the Gruyere. I have never used it before now, so I am a little worried about trying it. I am a fan of all the rest of the ingredients. I can't wait to cook it.

Yum! This looks so good, and I will definitely need to make it soon. I can't wait to try it!

You had me at "3 glorious cheeses". Mouth watering!
