Ultimate Slow Cooker Mashed Potatoes

From the blogger: "Slow Cooker Mashed Potatoes are an easy side dish (with no boiling required!) that you can make for the holidays and keep warm on the buffet without drying out! Slow Cooker Mashed Potatoes are a holiday favorite of ours since we bought our first slow cooker together. In fact, it was the second slow cooker recipe I ever made (first was: Ultimate Slow Cooker French Dip Sandwiches). The best part about the recipe is that it doesn’t need ANY boiling. It is as easy as dump and cook, then a quick mash with a potato masher or hand mixer and you’ve got delicious mashed potatoes!"

I have been talking about trying out mashed potatoes in a slow cooker for a while now. This seems pretty easy to do AND I could probably swing sitting by a slow cooker waiting for my perfect potatoes for 3 hours.

My husband and I were just talking about deciding on garlic mashed potatoes for this Thanksgiving. And lo and behold, here we have a wonderfully simple slow cooker mashed recipe! This is going to be perfect for us. I will be cutting the recipe in half, however, since only the two of us will be eating it. I despise boiling potatoes over the stove, and this saved me from my most unfavorite activity.

What a great idea! It's always tough to keep the mashed potatoes warm during big family meals. This sounds like the perfect solution!
