Julia's Southern Foods out of Raleigh, NC knows good Southern cooking and what it should taste like. Their line of Sassy Dip Mixes includes sweet and spicy seasonings that create delicious appetizers. I sampled their three spicy dip mixes: the Jalapeno Seasoning, Habanero Seasoning, and Chipotle Seasoning. These easy to prepare dips were the hit of the office!

I tried all the recipes found on the backs of the mix packets, but you can also mix them with cream cheese or sour cream for a super simple snack. The dip can then be put on a bagel, chip or even a sandwich.

I tried the recipes because they are all incredibly delicious sounding and even more Southern than the standard preparation. I made Julia's Habanero Cheese Dip with the Habanero Dip Mix. This was my favorite of all the seasonings and recipes. It was a hot dip which I favor and had bacon bits in every bite. The heat was just perfect, not too spicy or too mild. Plus you can make it in the slow cooker!

I also made the Chipotle Peach Spread with the Chipotle Dip Mix. This the perfect blend of sweet and savory. I would serve this at a barbecue or potluck any time of day. I also made the Sassy Black Bean Salsa with the Jalapeno Dip Mix. This reminded me of a spicier version of Cowboy Caviar.

All the mixes were simple to prepare with just a few added ingredients. These dip mixes are great to keep on hand for unexpected guests or parties. Everyone will think these are your famous dip recipes.

These dips are so tasty! I'd love to use them for the next party I go to. They're simple and flavorful. I'd love to try using them in tortilla rolls, in addition to trying them on chips and crackers.

These were delicious! They didn't even taste like they came from a mix. I'd definitely make the peach one again.

I will definitely be making the Habanero Cheesy Dip with Bacon again! It was the perfect blend of cheese and bacon with just the right hint of spice.

Mmmm! I'd definitely make these dips for snacking in the future. As someone who LOVES all things spicy, the jalapeno peach and black bean dips could have had a bit more kick to them, but they were still super tasty.

I can't believe these dips were made with a mix! The peach dip was fantastic. SO good. I also loved the mix for the black bean salsa. My one issue with the dips is that they're a bit spicier than I'd like (especially considering how much I love just sitting and eating chips and dips endlessly), so I'd definitely add something to offset the spice a bit.

I LOVED the Habanero Cheesy Dip with Bacon. It had the perfect amount of spice with enough gooey cheese to keep you coming back for more.

The sweeter peach dip was delicious with buttery Ritz crackers! It had such a unique flavor...sweet with a hint of kick. It was perfect.

These dips are fantastic!

That peach habanero dip! It had an awesome light, sweet flavor with the perfect amount of bite at the end. So much easier to make than a dip from scratch and nobody has to know )

Really zesty flavors. Makes you want to keep coming back for more!

It's always great to find dips that are gluten free and MSG free!

I loved these dips! My favorite was the peach habanero dip - it wasn't too spicy but it definitely had a kick. I want to make this for a party!

I'm obsessed with these dips. I can't believe they came from a mix! They taste like they're made from scratch. I'm going to make these for any potluck or party when I need something quick and easy. There's something for everyone, like a traditional salsa or a creamy jalapeno peach spread with unique flavor!

I never make my own homemade dips, so I loved that these were easy to prepare but still tasted good. The Habanero Cheesy Dip was my personal favorite.

The Habanero Cheesy Dip with Bacon had just enough spice for me. I really liked the little bacon bits in there, too. That was my favorite part.

I would make these dips again! This seems like such an easy way to entertain and offer your guests lots of appetizer options.
