Slow Cooker Rice Pudding Using Cooked Rice

Here is a creamy dish you can use for a nice dessert or a very exciting breakfast. Slow Cooker Rice Pudding with Cooked Rice allows you to also use some leftover rice from another dish instead of throwing it away and wasting it. You cook this in the slow cooker; however, to get the perfect consistency, you need to keep an eye on this dish while it is cooking. You want to be careful not to overcook. Serve this with berries on the top for an added sweet bonus.

I always looked at rice pudding as a side dish or a dessert type dish. Here she suggests that it would be great for a hearty breakfast. I think I would like to try that! Adding perhaps dried cranberries or raisins, almonds, or shredded coconut- would be very tasty. I would make it using vanilla soy milk as I always have that in the fridge. THanks!

My mom used to make rice pudding when I was a kid and me and my sister would eat it up. We loved it! I cannot wait to make this for my kids and take a little trip down memory lane. Thanks for posting. I will be making this pudding real soon.

What a great idea! Leftover rice is never as good as it is originally, so I'm glad that there's a way I can reuse it. Plus, I love rice pudding!

I don't really mind keeping an eye on the consistency. It seems like whenever I'm making good stuff in the crock pot I tend to patiently linger by the thing now and then, "sneaking" a taste, as the wonderful aromas fill my home. Rice pudding is one of those oldie but a goodie recipes that should be a staple in your recipe box! Kids and adults love it, and it makes a great snack.

I love rice pudding and I always have leftover rice. This will be perfect. I like the additional notes to the recipe especially about not over cooking. I also like the additional ingredients the author has suggested to add in. I will be eating this for breakfast. Thank you!
