"This is the easiest, tastiest recipe for slow cooker turkey breast! The turkey is covered in a delicious garlic herb butter spread and cooked to perfection in your slow cooker. This recipe is for a whole turkey breast that cooks fully in your slow cooker. Optionally, broil in your oven for 5 minutes at the end to give a nice browned, crispy skin. This simple recipe is ready in 5 minutes and cooks fully in your slow cooker for 8 hours. "

Ingredients

  • 1 teaspoon sage
  • 1 teaspoon thyme
  • 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon garlic pepper
  • 4 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 5 pounds turkey breast
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 5 cloves garlic, sliced
  1. In a small bowl, stir together the melted butter and seasonings.

  2. Loosen the skin of the turkey as much as possible and spread half of the butter mixture under the skin and half over the top of the turkey.

  3. Spray slow cooker with nonstick cooking spray. Line the bottom with round slices of onion and thin slices of garlic. Place turkey in the slow cooker.

  4. Cook on high for 1 hour and then 7 hours on low, until temperature of the turkey reaches 165 degrees.

  5. Preheat the oven to broil. Remove the turkey from the slow cooker and place in a baking pan. Broil for 4 – 5 minutes, until the skin of the turkey is browned and starts to crisp.
