5-Ingredient Jiffy Cake Cornbread is one of the easiest and most delicious recipes for cornbread you will ever try. This sweet cornbread recipe gives you the most moist and cake-like cornbread that pairs perfectly as a side for chilis and BBQ dishes. When this bread comes out of the slow cooker all warm and fresh, you'll love the heavenly smell it brings into your kitchen. Spread a delightful helping of honey butter over a slice for a more dessert-like approach to eating this delicious cornbread. The next time you make ribs or other bbq dishes this bread must be on your menu. Corn bread in your slow cooker, who would have thought about that?

I agree with msdeb21. I had no clue you could make cornbread in the crock pot. What a great way to keep the heat down in the summer and still make some beans and cornbread, right? I don't cook the beans in the summer because no one wants me to heat the oven up for the cornbread, so this will work out nice.

I've been making Jiffy cake cornbread for years, but I didn't know I could make it in my slow cooker! Hooray! That would help on the nights when I have my main dish in the oven and have to figure out what to do about baking at two different temperatures.
