  • 2 tablespoons butter, cut into 1/8-inch pieces

  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 cup milk, warmed

Instructions

  1. Place all ingredients except milk in slow cooker; toss to combine.
     
  2. Cover; cook on LOW 7 hours or on HIGH 4 hours.
     
  3. Add milk to potatoes.
     
  4. Mash potatoes with potato masher or electric mixer until smooth.

So where is the garlic?

I love that you use the peelings on the potatoes. I think that it gives the potatoes a much earthier flavor than without, plus I like that it gives the food more nutrients. I like the texture of the peels too, do you? I know my family prefers the peels, so we will use this recipe a lot.
