It's made with just a few simple ingredients, including dried cranberries, herb stuffing mix, chicken broth and more.

  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 1 cup sliced celery
  • 1 bag (12-ounce) cubed herb stuffing mix
  • 1 1/2 cup water
  • 1 can (14-ounce) chicken broth
  • 1 cup dried cranberries


  1. Melt butter in slow cooker stove-top-safe cookware or large skillet.

  2. Add onions and celery; cook over medium-high heat 3 to 4 minutes or until onions are tender.

  3. Place stove-top-safe cookware in base or place cooked onions and celery in crock.

  4. Add remaining ingredients to crock; stir until well blended.

  5. Cover and cook on HIGH 1 hour or until stuffing is moist and heated through.

  6. Reduce temperature to warm; stuffing may be held for 1 hour.

Cranberries and dressing go really well together for the holidays, but I've never had them together in a single dish. Unless you count my usual turkey and dressing sandwiches made with the leftover dressing, turkey scraps and cranberry sauce from Thanksgiving. This recipe would be a perfect replacement and certainly, not as messy to make!
