My mom made "Boston Baked Beans" on the order of this, but she used to use dry navy beans, mustard, ketchup, brown sugar, thick sliced bacon, and other ingredients (was a little girl then so don't know the recipe). She had a special ceramic bean pot and put all the ingredients in there and bake in the oven almost all day. Delicious. Miss her recipes. Never knew where she kept the most important ones.
